How to Share a SharePoint site
Sharing in modern SharePoint is very simple. Follow these simple steps to share a site.
- Open the site
- Select the share button at the top right corner
- Search for the customer. If customer is external user, then you will need to search using email address.
- Select the permission level and click share.

What are Lists and Libraries
A list is a collection of data that you can share with your team members and people who you’ve provided access to. In other words, lists store data in tabular format similar to Databases. Moreover, lists can also be used as a data source for PowerApps and Power Automate.
Lists can be very simple to highly complex.
A document library provides a secure place to store files where you and your co-workers can find them easily, work on them together, and access them from any device at any time. For example, you can use a document library on a site in SharePoint to store all files related to a specific project or a specific client. Adding files or moving files between folders is as easy as dragging and dropping them from one location to another.

Basic site settings
Using SharePoint site settings you can change how your site looks, change the site name and logo and many more. You can also find out what level of permission an user has in your site.
To open site settings, click on the gear icon at the top right corner and click on “site information”.

Basics of Site Permissions
Site permissions allow you to modify user’s access level and control which user has access to which content. Sites can be configured at a very granular level (i.e. for each file) or on a broad level (for the entire site). Check the below screenshots to understand different options of site settings.
To modify or change site permissions you need at least Full-Control access in the site.
